Managing Expectations From Your Helper

Before your helper set foot in your cozy home, you may start to ponder on ways that may best prepare for her anticipated arrival.

In this article, we address one of the many important questions you may want to ask yourself.

Why are you engaging a helper?

To better manage your expectations, settle on the top 3 things you need her to do well in. Once you are set on your answer, tell yourself that you have to concentrate on training these 3 things first and the rest can be handled later when she is more settled.

Your probable answers are likely any three of these:

1. Take proper care of my kids and their needs
2. Cook Daily Meals
3. Keep my house clean and well maintained
4. Fully handle my special or disabled child
5. Fully handle my elderly or bedridden parent

Once she arrives, sit her down for a discussion, inform her your 3 primary priorities. Clearly explain that she needs to first concentrate on those within the first month into the job. And that the secondary errands will be gradually introduced.

This will somehow provide her some relief whilst coping with separation and adapting to the new environment.

Expecting a helper to be tip top in every single area of work is nearly impossible. But having a helper who wants to be taught and tries her best in her job is the next best thing.

Choosing your wars helps keep your priorities in check when you deal with another human. Hence, choose wisely.

I am really impressed with your writing skills and also with
the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?
Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a
great blog like this one these days.
